Write, You Must

 

Write, while you can; write you must,

As a poet of words never lose your trust,

Knowing full-well, the wolves will pierce your poems with their canine,

And the vultures would scavenge your work, as a carcass-in-famine,

The boys would toss your words like the pebbles on a roadside,

And the learned would look for the references and the guide.

(Finding none, they would throw your work aside!)

 

In this merciless world, the language of the heart shall reign supreme,
